Celebrate the joyful sounds of summer with The Laurence Singers.  Jazz, folk and songs from the shows make for a varied programme, promising something for everyone.  Enjoy your favourite songs, including ‘Country Gardens’, ‘Kalinka’ and ‘The Vicar of Dibley’.  Relax to music from John Rutter, Bob Chilcott, Eric Whitacre and Howard Goodall.

Join the Laurence Singers for an evening of Christmas songs and readings in the beautiful, 300-year-old setting of Dean Row Chapel – Wilmslow’s historic, hidden gem. Celebrate the festive period with sparkling arrangements of well-loved carols and songs, including ‘Silent Night’, ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’ (Darke), ‘Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind’ and many more seasonal favourites. A selection of poems and readings from Shakespeare, Dickens, Michael Morpurgo – and others – will be read by members of the choir.

The choir will be conducted by Cliff Crewe, with Lauren Turner on the piano.

Celebrate the sounds of summer with The Laurence Singers.  Sacred songs, spirituals, opera, Broadway hits – and The Beatles(!) – all find their way into a varied programme of musical delights.  Highlights include ‘Rhythm of Life’, South Pacific, ‘When I’m 64’ and ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’; also, ‘Blue Moon’, ‘Blue Skies’ and ‘The Bluebird’.  Yes, we definitely got the blues, but in a good way!  Bring friends, family – and your best singing voice – for a great night out in aid of a fantastic cause!
